Account Manager – Infrastructure and Major Projects

As an Account Manager, Infrastructure and Major Projects based in London, Bristol or Birmingham, you will be working as part of a dynamic public-facing team delivering communications, compliant consultation and engagement on some of the biggest projects in the infrastructure sector (Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects or NSIPs). With a thorough understanding and knowledge of communications, consultation and stakeholder engagement, your work will focus on the planning process while also delivering campaigns that add social value and build advocacy for projects.

The role

  • You will be responsible for managing outcome-focused campaigns for infrastructure projects from initiation through to planning and construction
  • Focused on delivering pre-application consultation for NSIPs, you will ensure projects are process-compliant and be comfortable adhering to rigorous governance
  • You will manage media, public affairs and stakeholder programmes using a variety of communication, consultation and engagement techniques and tools that protect and enhance client and project reputation
  • You will be responsible for building and maintaining key day-to-day client and end client relationships, establishing the role of trusted advisor
  • You will be responsible for workstream KPIs and budgets
  • You will be an integral part of inter-disciplinary project teams honing your skills and working alongside some of the best in the business
  • Acting for the consultancy, you will be encouraged to support business development, contribute ideas and develop your own network of relevant contacts and referrals.

About you

  • A confident Account Manager with a passion for the infrastructure sector
  • Understanding of UK planning regimes and process
  • Knowledge of pre-application consultation (statutory and non-statutory) process for NSIPs a major advantage including feedback and analysis
  • Experience of communications, consultation and engagement planning with the ability to execute and deliver workstreams against objectives, deadlines and budget
  • Consultancy skill-set with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to build strong client relationships
  • Politically astute with a working knowledge of the UK’s political structures an advantage.
