Infrastructure: assured delivery
Copper’s infrastructure practice covers projects in sectors from energy and waste to transport and technology. Working from inception through to consent, we combine our expertise in communications and engagement with an in-depth knowledge of infrastructure to help avoid the many pitfalls in the planning process and achieve successful outcomes.
We use our unique perspectives of public attitudes towards infrastructure to give our clients early insight into stakeholder and community perceptions of project impacts, benefits and acceptability. Throughout the planning process, this helps them understand and manage risks – to their reputation, programme and legacy. It also helps us to develop engagement strategies that demonstrate the level and quality of dialogue that decision-makers expect if they are to be successful.
Alongside this, we highlight each project’s importance in the context of local, regional and national policy, and show how it helps to improve people’s lives. This increases the likelihood of obtaining consent, and also increases potential benefits in the project’s later stages, while staying on course and within budget.
The Copper team has brought experience of many major projects to the table to help us deliver the stakeholder engagement, communications and public consultation strategies and plans for the A303 Stonehenge scheme. They have delivered with energy, enthusiasm and expertise, producing research, content and ideas, often at short notice and always with a creative flair. They have become an invaluable part of our team.

Delivering robust, compliant and well communicated consultation
We specialise in delivering consultation for nationally significant infrastructure projects that is legally compliant, and that has given proper consideration to feedback received. We cover every element, from strategies and programmes, material production and event management, data capture, analysis and reporting, through to all the legislative requirements, such as statements of community consultation, statutory notices and consultation reports.
We focus heavily on preparation. We help clients define what consultation should take place and when, and work with project teams to communicate complex information to the public – bringing consultations to life through creative design and innovative technologies.
