Ben is a dynamic public relations and public affairs specialist, who delivers impactful strategies to support the largest, most complex and often most contentious development projects. Ben’s experience spans senior in-house and agency roles, bringing a wide range of corporate communications, crisis management, media relations, internal communications and political engagement expertise.
With over 15 years of experience in strategic communications, Ben advises developers in the energy, transport, waste and property sectors, helping them to build understanding, political engagement and public support for major infrastructure projects. He has worked with major house builders on multibillion pound regeneration schemes, utilities companies on the development of nuclear, fossil fuel and energy from waste plants, and on major transport and logistics infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining Copper, Ben was a Director at international consultancy FleishmanHillard, where he led the industrial and manufacturing practice, advising a range of companies including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Lendlease, TCS, Cummins and Emmerson.
Ben was previously responsible for corporate communications and government relations at the McLaren Technology Group, and managed UK corporate communications for Rolls-Royce PLC.
His career began in politics working as a political advisor to the Liberal Democrats.
