Caroline is a seasoned strategic communicator with over two decades of experience working in the built environment, across the public and private sectors, in complex, multi-disciplinary organisations.
Her career spans roles in-house in major FTSE organisations, including five years with Kier Group plc, as well as a range of agency roles, and most recently as Corporate Affairs Director for Clarion in the housing sector.
She has worked on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects including Crossrail, the Mersey Gateway and Hinkley Point C, and is adept at devising creative campaigns to engage diverse audiences and stakeholder groups, to sustain enduring dialogues, gain influence and reach consensus views.
Caroline is highly experienced in the full mix of media, marketing and communications, including specialisms in areas like strategy development, public affairs, media and crisis management. She enjoys helping clients to respond to challenges, conflict and contention to reach resolutions, whilst protecting and promoting reputations.
Through her in-house roles, she has a keen awareness of the cost pressures and project complexities that clients face, and the importance of commercial rigour in delivering measurable outcomes, as effective communication and engagement is now a business critical issue, built into many framework and contract KPIs.
A strong believer in the value of collaboration, she is experience in building highly successful and effective teams, including across supply chains and within joint ventures, and working in partnership with other organisations to maximise project benefits and positive outcomes, and mitigate risk.
