Dianne’s experience of high profile incidents includes managing crisis responses through to direct action protest campaigns. She has worked in several multi-disciplinary environments, making sure in-house communications and on-site project teams work together and with common purpose in the delivery of successful stakeholder engagement and media plans.
Starting her career in the electricity industry, Dianne was part of one of the first teams to implement and think about the importance of community relations. As part of National Grid’s external relations team she managed both media relations and crisis communications, including several contentious projects and incidents.
Since joining Copper to focus on consultancy, Dianne has helped organise the official opening of the Milford Haven gas pipeline, which was attended by the UK Energy Minister, receiving both local and national media coverage and gaining a personal thanks from National Grid’s Chief Executive.
Dianne is currently supporting National Grid and ScottishPower Transmission in developing and delivering a communications strategy for the £1billion Western Link project and construction communications for Jaguar LandRover’s Gaydon development project.
Dianne is also a professional proof reader, making sure all Copper’s output is in plain English, engaging and meets a client’s tone of voice requirements.
