With over 20 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector, Donna has proven success in communicating complicated issues while managing reputations, making her adept at developing materials and stakeholder relationships at all levels.
With a background in the water and energy sector, Donna has expertise in developing and delivering communications and stakeholder engagement strategies for private developers, utilities and public sector clients. Prior to joining Copper, she was Head of Communications for EDF Energy’s development branch.
She has delivered public consultation programmes to support consents for major development projects, including the London 2012 Olympics and a number of energy projects classed as nationally significant under the Planning Act 2008. This involves providing the full range of NSIP communications support, from developing engagement and consultation strategies and drafting Statements of Community Consultation, to leading councillor, officer and key stakeholder briefings and drafting consultation reports. She also provides advice on media relations, social media and public affairs.
Recently Donna has been supporting offshore wind farm developers and National Grid to achieve political and community support during planning and construction of nationally and internationally significant projects.
