Fluent in Welsh, Laura is highly-experienced at community relations, with rare first-hand experience in leading nationally significant energy projects from start to finish.
Laura leads Copper’s work across Wales, liaising with members of the public as well as the community, town and county councillors, assembly members and local members of parliament at a local planning level.
Laura has co-ordinated and delivered effective communications programmes on a number of projects, including a controversial gas pipeline project in south Wales and a 400kV electricity substation in Swansea, ensuring communities were given a voice, while maintaining a careful balance for project delivery.
More recently, she has been helping deliver the consultation strategy for the Brechfa Forest Connection project, a nationally significant infrastructure project on behalf of Western Power Distribution. She has written bi-lingual consultation materials, developed the media strategy, is responsible for media and political reporting, and is currently coordinating the examination hearings and site inspection visits with the project team and Planning Inspectorate.
