Patrick’s background is in public affairs and national campaigns, joining Copper after almost five years at a leading public affairs agency.
Experience
Patrick has experience working with clients to help them to influence key stakeholders and to understand, engage with and shape the national political agenda. He has a strong understanding of parliamentary procedure and how to engage with the legislative process.
He has worked with high profile clients, across a range of sectors including infrastructure, energy, health and education. In 2018, he managed a health campaign that was winner of the 2019 Consultancy Campaign of the year at the European Public Affairs Awards.
Patrick also completed a secondment at the Office of Rail and Road where he worked with them to refresh their communication plans.
Prior to his time in agency, Patrick completed an internship as a Policy Adviser at a trade association in Brussels, representing the interests of small businesses across Europe. This role focussed on engaging with both the European Commission and Parliament on changes to digital policy.
In 2014, Patrick obtained a Master’s degree in Political Science from Leiden University, and he has a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Sheffield.
