Tom is a creative and innovative communications professional, with over 15 years of experience of campaigning and public relations. With specialist knowledge in the north of England, he has a track record of delivering high-profile and complex communications strategies for clients and delivering strategic counsel for some of the UK’s largest private and public sector organisations.
Tom has delivered complex communications strategies for clients across the north of England and has experience in multiple sectors such as national infrastructure, residential, retail, and strategic land development.
Prior to joining Copper, Tom developed the consultation strategy for a water infrastructure project that stretched from Cumbria to Greater Manchester, engaging seven different local authorities as well as national and regulatory stakeholders.
He has in-depth knowledge of the utilities sector and formerly worked in corporate affairs for the UK’s largest listed water company. Whilst in post he developed their public affairs strategy as well as managed the consultation on its five-year business plan which was approved by OFWAT in 2019.
A borough councillor in the north west, Tom also has experience in northern politics and understands the relationships that can shape decision making in local and national government. Tom has supported some of the UK’s leading public and private sector organisations with strategic counsel, offering advice and guidance on how to navigate political environments to achieve objectives.
