Having graduated with a BA (Hons) in History & Politics from Oxford University and a MA in Strategic Communications from King’s College London, Willem is well versed in navigating difficult communications barriers. His academic insight into identifying and countering extremist narrative disinformation ensures he is prepared to tackle sensitive communications challenges across a diverse portfolio of clients.
At Copper, Willem works on a broad range of projects across the Economic Development and Construction practices. Bringing Open Source Intelligence experience to his stakeholder research and mapping, he is also skilled at identifying and targeting seldom heard communities.
Before joining Copper, Willem gained experience across a number of sectors, working with organisations such as the British Army and Transport for London to address stakeholder concerns and design communications strategies. Passionate about making a difference in the socio-economic arena, Willem’s time as a member of Enfield Youth Parliament taught him how to effectively navigate local politics to steer change.
